Matriptase Structure

This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the N-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 30.6 kDa. The protein migrates as 27-28 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE).

活性(Bioactivity)

Measured by its ability to cleave the fluorogenic peptide substrate Boc-QAR-AMC . The specific activity is >20,000 pmol/min/μg (QC tested).

背景(Background)

Can degrade fibronectin, gelatins of type I, III, IV, and V; weakly collagens III, IV, and V. Activates procollagenase, Similar to stromelysin 1, but action on collagen types III, IV and V is weak.
