The protein has a calculated MW of 51.5 kDa (IL-21 R) & 53.6 kDa (IL-2 R gamma). The protein migrates as 65 kDa and 70 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

背景（Background）
Interleukin (IL)-21, IL-2, IL-4, IL-7, IL-9, and IL-15 form a family of cytokines based on their sharing the common cytokine receptor γ chain (γc), which was originally discovered as the third receptor component of the IL-2 receptor,IL-2RG. IL-21 is a class I cytokine that exerts pleiotropic effects on both innate and adaptive immune responses. It signals through a heterodimeric receptor complex consisting of the IL-21 receptor (IL-21R) and the common γ-chain.
